What the Wildlife Care Badge (the map that UKWT runs off, and that UKWT also funds) and UK Wildlife Transporters have made happen in the last 5 years, has had a big impact in the UK in such a short time, I think. Here's our most in depth overview so far...
Here’s an overview of all of the work - more than 16,000hrs of structural organising & administration, over the last 5 years - to get to this point (as of March 2026): HERE
And it results in wildlife casualties/orphans getting to the 'right' places (which couldn't be MORE important): HERE.
Day to day, HERE'S what it takes, to run the WCB & UKWT.
AND... Why does UKWT fund a 'Wildlife Care Advisor'? See why HERE.

Bristol & Bath were challenging areas for wildlife this Spring/Summer 2025 - especially for Gulls. UKWT was especially impactful here, this year, as we moved a lot of birds - who would have otherwise been unnecessarily euthanised - to Wildlife Rescues further away, to get their second chance: HERE

WE DON’T ‘JUST’ TRANSPORT:
We don’t JUST fill in a transport gap, we often provide ‘wildlife care support’ too: HERE

Sometimes, transporting wildlife to Rescues isn’t necessary. Here’s a family of Gulls that were supported until the youngsters fledged, this 2025 summer, by kind UKWT Drivers: HERE

UKWT is now structured to provide UKWT Drivers Teams directly to Wildlife Rescues & Vet Practices. Here’s the 54 Teams set up so far (to fill in the transport gap across the UK): HERE
