UKWT Transports, Thus Far...

UKWT started in August 2020 and we have been sharing about our transports & thanking Drivers for each of their transports since the start, using social media posts.  Only recently - in May 2025 - have we decided to start a gallery of 'Transport Shares' & 'Thank Yous' and also Driver shares, on what being a UKWT Driver means to them.

Our original 'Transport Shares / Thank Yous' can't be shared here, as they were social media posts only and not saved images.  The gallery below reflects only a tiny number of updates, compared to the over 1000 animals transported, but it's a start and will grow and grow...

  • [UKWT was closed for most of 2023/2024, as I worked round the clock on the Wildlife Care Badge - see the history HERE - and as I developed a new structure for us to run from, which has us now helping around triple the animals that we were before. In 2023/2024, we helped: 2 Hedgehogs, 8 baby Rats, 4 Pigeons, 3 Gulls, 1 Bat, 1 Duckling, 1 Jackdaw, 2 Magpies, 10 baby House Mice.]

  • In 2025 (as of 28th October) we have helped: 755 animals.  [The full statistical break down of species will be shared at the end of the year, but you can see a lot of the info thus far in the 'Transports Gallery' below...]

Transport Shares...

[*The map of 'Transports Since We Started Map' represents all of our pick up points, for the over 1000 animals we have transported to emergency care, so far. (In some cases, the blank spaces are where we take a lot of wildlife to, but where we rarely pick up from).

The 'Transport Gallery' below is in no particular chronological order.]

Driver 'Thank Yous' & Their 'Personal Shares'...

[*Why do only some of the 'thank yous' feature a photo of the actual animal transported?  Because...  As part of UKWT's strict welfare policy, Drivers are prohibited to take photos of the animals they transport, as it causes immense stress to the casualty/orphan to have that kind of unnecessary attention.  Sometimes the Rescues that we drop off at send us a photo of the animal afterwards but, if they don't, we just use a cartoon drawing (or stock images) in our 'thank you' posts for each Driver.]
