This is an unusual one, but I want to thank the Anglesey & North Wales UKWT Drivers Team for being so kind as to support this Gull family.
Yesterday, on Friday 18th July 2025, the wonderful Sue from Anglesey Hedgehog Rescue was contacted by a kind student at Bangor University, in North Wales, about these 2 juvenile Gulls. They were worried that they’d been there for 2 days without moving.

Based off photos that Sue shared with our UKWT ‘Anglesey & North Wales Drivers Team’, we got advice from a fab Wildlife Rescuer on what to do: one of our Drivers, Helen, drove to the spot to double check that all was well and - indeed - the youngsters were fine and the parents were also still feeding them.
It was recommended by the Wildlife Rescuer that we provide a little support in situe, to give the family the best chance in this super hot weather, over the next week. Subsequently, the Anglesey Drivers have kindly volunteered to a rota where each of them takes suitable food and lots of water day by day, over the next week, to give the Gull parents a bit of help, until the youngsters have fledged.
The food/water is being placed far enough away from them that none of the family are spooked (but close enough that they can easily access the containers if they want) and no other interaction occurs: minimum possible interference.
Thank you for your vast kindness, Helen, Claire, Gail, Angharad, Philippa, Kathy & Sally!
UPDATE [19th July] ... The youngsters have fledged...
