We're 'Pausing' Transports While We Fundraise

We have gone out to/transported just over 1370 animals thus far, however - as you can see from the infographic above - an explosion in demand for our services has coincided with a big reduction in donations.
I need to fix this situation before Spring, or we will keep closing intermittently throughout the year due to lack of funds, which will not only feel chaotic but will stop 100s of animals getting to emergency care.
If I 'pause' us now (if we stop transporting temporarily, during our quietest time of year) for an emergency fundraiser, we can, if we're lucky, be securely funded by April - with a minimum of £2000 a month in support - and able to help up to double the numbers of wildlife casualties & orphans as last year (possibly 1500).
[*Up to August 2025 the number of wildlife we were helping was growing fairly comfortably in line with our funding but most of our online social media presence is in a Facebook Group. In August, Facebook took their 'group chat' option away, so we couldn't contact our Group members to ask for support anymore, and since then, as you can see in the infographic above, donations have steadily dropped, as we can't, I think, get in front of most of our followers now.]
My name's Alana, I founded and run UKWT.

We're expecting 2026 to be our busiest year EVER (it's already our busiest start to a year).
We started 2025 with 35 Drivers Teams - and helped 793 animals to emergency care - and we're starting 2026 with 53 Drivers Teams now - and more requests for Drivers Teams have recently come in too - so I am anticipating a possible 1500 wildlife casualties & orphans being requested to get to emergency care / a second chance this year). 💚

It's been SUCH an explosive start to 2026 - and this year is looking to be SO busy - that I've made a BIG decision to get us prepared for Spring... I need to use February & March to get us to £2000, in reliable monthly income (monthly donors & equally kind sponsors).

This minimum amount covers our basic background/running costs & makes sure that we have some funds for fuel costs & to run Drivers Adverts every month.

-------

*Long term, we need to fund our FULL running costs which are actually £3895.16 a month, but I can at least feel comfortable about taking UKWT off 'pause' once we have £2000 a month coming in, knowing that I can grow the rest of the funding support that we need in the background. This is because I am taking the personal hit - the £1895.16 a month difference - on myself.

We badly need monthly donations (however teeny) to get us through this year. We are expecting to be asked to help DOUBLE the number of animals, compared to last year. We are already lucky enough to have £275 a month in monthly Donors. To 'unpause' us we only need another 174 kind wildlife lovers to commit to £10 a month (or 348 at £5 a month, and/or even £1 a month makes a big difference).

Please go to our Donorbox Page to follow the instructions on setting up a monthly donation.
