This is a lovely house by the Menai Straits. We have been lucky enough to have a week's stay - any date that's available before March 2026 - gifted to us, to run as a raffle prize to raise funds for UKWT. It is either for yourself or for you and your family.
The £2300 we hope to raise from this raffle will help us to get wildlife to emergency care all the way through to January 2026... The house is literally right on the water, with seals popping up all of the time (and even dolphins sometimes)!
Inside you'll find a cosy snug with wood burning stove on the ground floor. The original 1910 stained glass still filter colour onto the walls inside, there are classic sash windows, and richly coloured, original wooden doors and bannisters are throughout the house. The main living area is open plan, consisting of a sociable sitting area and a kitchen/dining area- the views dominate through the large picture windows. There is also a utility space and a downstairs shower room here. Upstairs are the three bedrooms, both doubles have superb views whereas the bunk room faces inland. You'll also find a family bathroom on this floor.
Brig Y Don was previously occupied by the Anglesey artist Elspeth McNamara - who often used the sitting room to paint in - and some of her original artwork of water scenes & tools are used for decoration in the house.
The house is a 5min walk from the town, with woodland/wildlife 5mins walk in the other direction.

[We are incredibly fortunate in that this Seaside Prize used to be a family home, of friends of mine, and has since been fully renovated into a holiday let. They have supported UKWT in lots of different ways over the years and we have agreed a deal whereby UKWT can raffle stays at this gorgeous property as much as we want (which will be every couple of months, I think, as it's such a popular prize, and it really helps us to fund our work). We can't raffle it so often totally free however, as it would cost the family too much money, so we have agreed that for a 7 night stay, which is normally up to £1600 in price, UKWT sends them £500 plus covers the housekeeping costs. This means that UKWT will keep £2300 of every £3000 that we raise (after Paypal fees & our bit towards the stay) which will help us to get around 200 animals to emergency care AND have an even bigger impact in the background too, with our behind the scenes efforts.]
