Beautiful Bat...
This is a stunning Bat that one of our brilliant Drivers, Martin, transported to Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital on 11th March... The Hospital very kindly sent these pics a few days later and an update that they were doing great: feeding well and with just one small wing tear... 💚

Our 1st Fox Cub of 2026...
This little stunner was transported, initially, by UKWT Driver, Alicia, to the Full Of Joy Wildlife Rescue, on 19th March, from a member of the public who had found him lost / orphaned. After the little one had been stabilised by TJ & Lizzies' amazing efforts, another one of our kind Drivers, Jayde, transported him onwards to be with cubs of his own age, at RSPCA Stapeley Grange, on 22nd March... 🦊

A Leveret who was transported twice in one afternoon...
Every animal is wonderful & deserving of the best possible life: this is a little Leveret that one of our fab Drivers, Andy, transported (twice!) on 23rd March. He first picked the youngster up from a golf course (where the Leveret had been observed for 3 days, in the open, with no parents returning). [*Please be aware... It's very important NOT to just 'pick up' a baby hare without first getting advice from a Wildlife Rescue, as they can be left by parents for hours at a time and still be fine & being cared for. This was a unique case where we are not sure why the baby was left alone].
From the golf course he was taken straight to a Vet Practice, for a full checkover. Having been declared as fit as can be, just in need of ongoing care (Andy waited with the little one while the Vets made their assessment) Andy then drove the little one onwards to Brinsley Animal Rescue. 🧡

A nest of baby Blackbirds...
These are 3 wonderful (slightly blurry) young Blackbirds, that the fab UKWT Driver, Oliver, transported from Henlow Vet Group to Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital, on 11th April 💛....

A Hedgehog who was taken in, rehabilitated & returned to their home territory...
We very rarely get updates on the animals we transport (as I don't want to inundate Rescues with messages, causing them more work).
It was extra lovely, therefore, to receive a message from Dawn, from Llangollen Hedgehog Helpers, who had found Eleanor, the hedgehog, on 21st March, and who used our transporter services to get the spikey person to the brilliant Tracy at Hedgehog Help Prestatyn, for emergency care.
On the evening of 10th April, Dawn updated me that the perfect Eleanor had recovered and been returned to her & released back to her home territory.
Huge, awe inspired WELL DONE to everyone involved, who worked together to help Eleanor get the care she needed, to get better & to be returned home, to live wild & free.
