I've been sent these pics through by the Vet Practice, Henlow Vet Group, who took in these 3 Blackbird nestlings, that we then transported to Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital, yesterday.
I think that the 2 pics, side by side, show how much of an impact we can all have, when we work together.
These youngsters were knocked from their nest by a dog (no judgements please, they were tucked away and it would have been hard to predict it happening, even by the most responsible owner). They were cold & unresponsive on arrival at the Practice. The Vet Practice took them in, got them warmed up in an incubator and started feeding them, when they were ready. Once sure of their survival, they secured a place at Tiggywinkles, for them.
After that, UKWT stepped in to transport these youngsters to the Wildlife Hospital, for ongoing care. (Baby birds sometimes need feeding every 15 minutes, which is unrealistic to achieve in a Vet Practice, but Wildlife Hospitals/Rescues are set up for such scenarios).
Now, thanks to the emergency care that they received at the Practice & then being transported to the Hospital, they're in the best place to grow up & be returned to the wild, to thrive.
