On 17th March: helping wildlife behind the scenes… 💛

Soon, I’ll probably only have time to share about our ‘transports’ but, while I can, I want to share some more of our ‘being there, just in case’ efforts…

On 17th March, I was sent a screenshot of a Gull in Anglesey who was very likely hit by a car and was in the road, needing help. Normally we don’t ‘capture & contain’ but I asked the Anglesey Drivers if anyone would be willing to to go out and pick up the little one. 2 kind Drivers (between them) found the Facebook post on an Anglesey group & got in touch with the Driver (I contacted a very wildlife friendly & Gull loving Vet Practice that we work with on the island, so that they knew to expect the bird) and both Drivers were heading out the door to pick the little one up, when the Finder, Beth, updated us that another organisation had got in ahead of us. Lovely to know that so many people care. I updated the vets that the bird wouldn’t be going to them anymore.

Big thanks to Philippa & Mandy, in Anglesey, who acted so quickly to try and help and a HUGE shout out to the Finder, Beth, who waited with the bird and didn’t give up until they were helped.
